CHAZ has not misused Global Funds-GF Country Team
The Global Fund (GF) Country Team says it is a shame that CHAZ has been thrown in the same basket with other Principal Recipients (PRs) who misapplied Global Funds.
Speaking during a meeting at CHAZ secretariat in Lusaka on 23rd November 2010, a member of the GF Country Team, David Powel said there was no suggestion of misuse of funds by CHAZ in the OIG Report.
Powel who stressed that the team was not an official spokesperson for the OIG added that the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) only needed to follow-up on
recommendations made to Zambia by the OIG.

This report covers the period from January to December 2012. This was a very important year for CHAZ as it was the second year of implementation of our 2011-015 Strategic Plan. The report further gives an update on how CHAZ provided ART medication to 73,573 clients and also provided PMTCT services to 8,547 HIV positive people and counseling and testing services to 67,294 clients. CHAZ further distributed 266,900 insecticide treated nets (ITNs) for the control of malaria to eight DHMTs and CHI's and distributed ARV's and other health products.Download Reports:
This report covers the period from January to December 2011. In this period, a new government was voted into office and pledged to continue supporting the work of the church in health sector. On May 4th of the same year, the long awaited signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Health (MOH) was signed. The signing of the meMOU signified CHAZ's renewal of its formal relationship with the Ministry as opposed to the last five yearss when the cooperation was based on an outdated (MOU). The year 2011 also marked the implementation of the 2011 to 2015 CHAZ strategic plan which was unveiled at the Churches Health Association's General Council meeting.Download Report:
The year 2010 marked the end of an era for CHAZ in that it was the final year of implementation for the Association’s 2006-2010 Strategic Plan and HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan. The review of the Association’s Strategic plan was one of the most prominent undertakings for the Association in 2010.Download Report:
